Two weeks ago I popped into Boots in Sprucefield to see my lovely friend Graeme who I used to work with on the Clinique counter. Of course we chatted, had a catch up and then he said ‘oh my god I have the product for you!!!’ (He knows I have dehydrated skin and I’m always on the look out for new make up) before I knew it he was trying out foundations on my face to get the right colour and I had a tester pot with shade no 1 in my hand of the latest foundation from Clinique: Super Balance Silk.
Bit confusing because they have the foundation ‘Superbalance’ (for more combination skin) and then this one is Superbalance Silk for a dryer skin type…but who doesn’t want their face to feel like silk because I know I do!So off I went, tried and tested the foundation and pretty much fell in love. The colour was perfect (24 shades to choose from) and the texture was silky and lightweight. It wears so well on my skin leaving me with a dewy finish (it keeps the skin looking youthful) coverage is about a medium. The only thing I would say is I don’t like to build it up, one layer is enough and means you can still see your skin and it won’t become cakey.
Last week I strutted my stuff back into Boots to buy the full size for £23!! My wee love Graeme was there (you could fall in love instantly cause he is gorgeous inside and out!) he has been working for Clinique for 5 years now and last year he won consultant of the year in the whole of Ireland. He got flown to New York for a week to see how the products are made, met the founders of Clinique and of course shop! He is brilliant at his job and just a book full of information when it comes to asking anything about Clinique! Definitely pop down to see him if you are unsure of colours for your complexion or want to know what products would work best for your skin etc…oh and tell him I say hi!
