Winter Warmers

Abu Dhabi continued…

If you follow my Instagram account you will have seen I booked a last-minute trip to soak up some winter sun in Abu Dhabi. I have never been to United Arab Emirates before and it didn’t disappoint. It is complete luxury, between the food, hotels, cars and buildings it’s all very flash.

We stayed in the hotel Shangri-la which was amazing! pure luxury. I had done some research on what and where I wanted to see ( I Get asked often how I research for trips and I mainly finding myself using Instagram and Blog posts, via hashtags and locations ) The no1 activity I wanted to do was relax and catch the sun ( in my case catch a few more freckles ) this was well and truly achieved by the gorgeous pool at our hotel.

Next up was a desert safari, we organised this the day before at our hotel, ( I had seen so many people doing this via instagram and knew I wanted to be there for the sunset ) obviously there was going to be some amazing photo opportunities for the gram so that made me even more excited!

We really wanted to bring the drone but after a little research it didn’t seem like the easiest task, in United Arab Emirates you actually need a license for this, such a shame because I think our photographs would have been out of this world! However the whole experience of driving through the sand dunes, an outdoor BBQ,  camel rides, belly dancers, sunsets and star-gazing the day trip was brilliant!

The Grand Mosque is a must see in Abu Dhabi, to soak up a little culture and some sensational architecture. Words can’t even describe how amazing it is and the pictures don’t even do it justice.

We did all the usual holiday things, cocktails by the pool, walks by the beach and a little shopping here & there ( the shopping malls are next level ) We also had a dinner booked in Hakkasan which is in the most amazing hotel Emirates Palace, the food was divine and the location was breath taking!

I’m already dreaming of my next trip to the sun, coming home to 1 degree didn’t exactly ease me into the winter months.

As always any questions just shoot me a message,

( going to attempt to do a little more posts… ( early new years resolution ))

Until next time
